Photo Archive N°13 - Heinkel He 111 Units in the BofB and Blitz

The authors decided to limit the book to operations over the UK as the Russian and Mediterranean theaters could probably be covered in a separate volume. They also included early wartime operations over England, as these produced some of the best photographs of captured Heinkels.
The photos are curated by Kampfgeschwader Gruppes and they have included a panel for each Gruppe with a list of the official code letters and colors of each staffel (the individual aircraft letter represented by an X). Also included are the usual detail pages where we focus on a particular aspect such as grenade launchers, formation markings and the differences between the P and H series.
