The main interceptor fighter type in service with the Dutch Air Force in May 1940, the D.XXI was often dubbed 'the poor man's fighter'. The type enjoyed a notable career in the Finnish Air Force and saw service in the Danish Air Arm. This is easily the most complete work on the type published to date and is richly illustrated with quality photos from the Fokker archives, numerous large-scale colour profiles, plans & cutaways as well as many previously unpublished images, including colour shots and a detailed 'walkaround'.
