EDITORIAL:
Reader friends,
You have discovered on the shelves the two Special Editions by Philippe Caresse, 46 and 47 dedicated to the “Heavy Cruisers of the Kriegsmarine”. We present them in our Favorites section, among other very enriching and varied works.
They are followed by the publication of the book by the same author on "The Battleship Tirpitz", which we will have the opportunity to talk about again.
Obviously we also present exceptional models, the novelties are rich.
A variety of news, both in military information (with our new frigates, a Chinese aircraft carrier, among others), and civil (innovative cruise liners, end of an old liner, etc.). News chosen, subjectively, and sometimes somewhat developed.
After the exceptional story of a historic liner destined for dismantling, we find the battleship Roma for the sad end of its history.
Far from the wars, the first part of the story, (richly illustrated) beautiful liners bearing the names of scholars.
Did you know that the naval artillery had played an important role in the war of 1870 - 1871? Here is the first part of his story!
We return to the open sea with our saga on aircraft carriers. A large article takes us through their fights during the Battles of the Atlantic. Fascinating and rich in unknown images! It is a front which received little media coverage but which proved to be of capital importance for the rest of the events.
And, to conclude, the story of a British frigate. Little action, but representative of an era, with the Falkland countryside.
New and exciting stories to read! But… take advantage of this number, the next one promises to be up to it!
