The second part of the monograph on the Messerschmitt Me 262 is mainly devoted to the combat service of the plane. The authors describe the utility of the most advanced Luftwaffe fighter in Erprobungskommando 262, Einsatzkommando Schenk, Kommando Nowotny and JG 7 ‘Nowotny’. The book also contains chapters on the production and experimental versions of the aircraft, and camouflage schemes. The highlight of the volume are 36 pages with excellent 3D visualisations which present construction details of the Me 262 B-1a/U1, a night fighter variant of Schwalbe.
