  The author managed to track down nearly 300 survivors of Fighter Squadron 5 (pilots and technicians) and many parents of soldiers killed or missing. Their testimonies, photos and documents help to save from oblivion a period of the Second World War that is generally little remembered. In the form of a war diary and illustrated with a large number of black and white photos, the missions of JG 5 between July 1, 1943 and June 5, 1944 are documented. (Mombeek)
