This book traces the role of the infantry through each important phase of the conflict, and its evolution following changes in the way of waging war. Coming from 90% of the Royal Museum of the Army and Military History of Brussels, the selection presented - which includes only clothing and materials worn by the troop - allows to appreciate the external changes of these armies between 1914 and the end of the war.
