Sword. Objectif Caen

June 6, 1944, the 3rd British Infantry Division, strengthened considerably (an armored brigade of special tanks, a commando brigade) landed on Sword Beach, while in the night, the paratroopers of the 6th Airborne Division have already established a bridgehead northwest of Caen. Here we find the German defenses and powerful means put forward by the Allies, but also protaginistes, some of which have become legendary characters - Lord Lovat, Bill Millin, Major Howard, Commander Kieffer and French commandos - but also their opponents, Major von Luck or Lieutenant Höller. Much of history, suddenly stopped in front of Caen, city martyrdom, which will be finally removed only after a month of fighting.
