DESCRIPTION : The Tripartite Mine Chasseurs (CMT) have been in service since 1984. The result of successful cooperation between France, the Netherlands and Belgium, forty ships were built, thirteen of which were armed by the French Navy.
Mine hunting has replaced dredging by a meticulous exploration of the seabed combining sonar and clearance divers, man remaining the ultimate means of classification. These mine hunters are particularly sophisticated buildings, modernized but whose replacement is the subject of multiple studies and trials.
This work of approximately 200 pages will be embellished with more than 300 photos, maps and diagrams.
