Dear readers,
The open sea and the past await you. A new issue of your magazine is in your hands.
And it's an anniversary, because it is now 25 years old, the first issue dating back to November 1999. I had the pleasure of participating. A long road for what is, still and always, THE general maritime history magazine in French, many colleagues having disappeared over the years, except for LOS, at Caraktère.
The authors from the beginning are no longer there, for the most part, for various reasons. But others just as rigorous and talented have replaced them. The wind can change, the crew is at its post!
Throughout all these years, the line has remained globally identical, a single objective: to tell the story of boats, navigation, sailors, from antiquity to the present day. An ambitious mission, the field is vast, but there are so many exciting subjects, battles and adventures for more than two millennia…
The magazine maintains its course, to which you are attached, your loyalty proves it. New sections appear, new themes are addressed, always with the same goal: to bring you History, culture, relaxation, with quality illustrations and texts! But, the magazine is you! So, do not hesitate to tell us what you think.
It is time to weigh anchor. I will not detail the summary, with its usual sections and new articles, presented below.
