Although the prospects for SABCA were brightest in 1964, the near end of the F-104G program was worrying. To survive, society must diversify. This is how SABCA will gradually invest in the space sector, by participating in numerous launcher programs. SABCA will also invest in civil aviation, with various fortunes, by taking part in several international programs. In the military field, SABCA will assemble the Air Force Mirage 5, Alpha Jet and F-16 as well as Alouette II and Agusta helicopters intended for the Land Force. SABCA will also take care of modernization programs both on behalf of the Belgian Air Force and foreign air forces. Participation in these various programs will allow the Brussels design offices to participate in the development of aerospace structures and mechatronic components (combining hydraulics and electronics). Gosselies' design offices will invest in modernization programs. In addition to the Brussels and Charleroi sites, Lummen (composite material manufacturing) and Casablanca (Morocco, simple manufacturing and assembly at low labor costs). Finally, in 2017, SABCA invests in the field of drones.
