"German Wings in Italian Skies" tells the story of German aircraft in Italy, starting with the Etrich "Taube" monoplane, but the real heart of the book focuses on the types of Luftwaffe aircraft delivered to the Regia Aeronautica and the 'ANR, such as the Ju-87, Bf 109, Bf 110, night fighters Do 217, Fi 156 and Ju 88. The very detailed text is accompanied by a superb selection of more than 600 very rare images, most of which have never been seen or published before, and Specially commissioned color profiles by renowned digital artist Janusz Światłoń. It contains fascinating appendices on subjects as diverse as German gliders in service in Italy and the rarely known story of the Italian pilots who went to Germany to train to fly the Me 163 Komet.
