Volume Five covers from the 28th September 1940 – 27th Ocotber 1940. This period covers the final phase of the Battle of Britain when large formations of bomb carrying Bf109s were roaming over southern England, forcing the RAF to launch standing patrols to combat this new menace. As such this book mainly contains Bf109s in various states of disrepair along with a selection of bombers mainly brought down at night as The Blitz started to intensify.
