This book describes in great detail the Lockheed 10A Electra, arguably the most beautiful 1930s airliner, while in service with Yugoslavia’s Aeroput Airlines. It also includes a brief history of the type’s development, a rich photo gallery highlighting its service with other airlines, as well as exclusive details of the transfer and service of the few machines from Aeroput Airlines to the RAF after the fall of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
Together with the twin-engined aircraft from Boeing and Douglas, the Electra served at the forefront of civilian airline operations during the 1930s, and by the time production ended in late 1941, a total of 149 Electras were delivered to 23 airlines in 13 countries, on four continents.
